WHY I AM RUNNING
-
We must teach our students to read at grade level. We must focus on math, science, American and Texas history, as well as the skills to prepare for 21st century jobs. Our emphasis must be on core academics, not CRT, SEL, or politically-correct policies.

Our tax dollars should not be used to pay a woke private association to promote bathroom policies putting our children’s safety at risk, calls concerned parents domestic terrorists, and undermines State law prohibiting teaching of CRT.

Every parent should have complete knowledge of exactly what their child is being taught. There must be nothing hidden, including student surveys.

Quality teachers require a quality salary, so I support a competitive salary increase. I will not vote to raise property taxes, which means teachers, and everyone, in MISD keep more of what they make.

We must strive to keep the highly-qualified, mature teachers who can be a positive role model for new teachers. There is no substitute for experience.

Since nearly 75% of MISD expenses go toward everything other than teacher salaries, I will work to reign in administrative costs so we can raise the pay of our teachers.

As the grandfather of 4 MISD students I want them, and all students, to get the best and safest education possible.
